What is BOTOX®?
BOTOX® is a neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes muscle tissue. It has been used safely and extensively in medicine for over 20 years, and is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures.

Is BOTOX® safe?
Absolutely, BOTOX® has been safely used in medicine for over 20 years.

How does BOTOX® reduce the signs of aging?
Tiny amounts of BOTOX® are injected into the appropriate muscles causing them to relax. This reduces or eliminates the appearance of the wrinkle.

Are there any side effects?
The most common side effect of a BOTOX® treatment is temporary bruising at the site of the injection. The bruising usually lasts only a few days and improves with time. In rare cases, the patient may temporarily experience ptosis, nausea, dysphasia, upper respiratory-tract infection.

What are the treatments like?
BOTOX® injections are quick and painless, taking only 10-15 minutes per treatment, with the use of a fine needle. This is truly a "lunchtime" procedure.

How long do the effects of the BOTOX® last?
BOTOX® treatments usually last for 4-5 months. The beautifying effects will gradually wear off over time, at which point, you may wish to consider another treatment.

Can BOTOX® be used as part of my anti-aging strategy?
Yes, BOTOX® can be used along with other anti-aging treatments such as wrinkle fillers or laser treatments.

What kind of results can I expect to see?
Proper injection of BOTOX® is as much an art as it is a science. The goal of proper treatment is to diminish wrinkling and softening the lines of the forehead and around the eyes, while maintaining normal facial expression elsewhere.
